Looks impressive. Did you need to file the mouth open a bit to accommodate the extra thickness?

    That chip is impressive.
    What wood was it?
I am sure a thicker blade is a great plus for a smoother plane. I don't know if for other planes is convenient to invest $100
I am corious for earing other opinions.

I have set up a few of these IBC/Cosman Double Irons and only had to file about 1mm from front of mouth - even from the older Stanleys with narrower mouths than later models.
The Iron is 3.6mm thick so won't fit in a Stanley plane. The IBC single irons are 2.45mm and do fit without filing the mouth.
I have both IBC Single and IBC/Cosman Double Irons in stock in Australia.

Been working on it - have revamped the site with an eShop - still some work to do and more product to load but at least it is up and running.
