    Default Two new backsaws

These are a couple of saws I finished up a couple of days ago. The first is a 10" dovetail saw with a 2" depth of cut. The handle is apple, and is extra large. The blade is 0.015" thick spring steel.

The second is a 12" carcase saw with a 3" depth of cut. The handle is quartersawn walnut. The blade on this one is 0.025" thick spring steel. Oh, it's also left-handed.

Any questions, comments or critiques are welcome.

    Thanks for looking.

    Very nice Isaac.
That is a lovely piece of walnut.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

    Nice job, Isaac!

I'm always hesitant to slim the tongue down anywhere near as much as you have done on your closed handle, but it sure gives it a delicate look - well done.

You had me scratching my head with the 'handedness' of the Walnut saw, I was loooking for a thumb slot or something. Then I realised you'd put the screws in the opposite way from the smaller saw.....

    Cheers,
    IW
