Bedrock 603 plane dimensions
Hello, can anyone please advise me of the dimensions of a Bedrock 603 plane eg length and width of the sole, the blade and back iron width, and the lever cap width?
If not, could anyone please suggest where I might be able to find this information?regards,
Dengy

Many thanks NCA. I take your point about Google, but actually I immediately thought of this Forum rather than Google as the source of expert knowledge when I went looking for this information

You are looking for a 2" cap which is a 604 or 605.

I can't tell you exactly (I don't have one and anyway there would have been variation over the period of production), however the dimensions you want will be the same as a No.3 (Bailey).
So:
length: 230 - 238mm (overall - probably a stepped sole under the tote);
54 - 55mm;
width of irons: 44mm (1¾");
width of LC: ~44mm
HTH.
