First post
the price is very good, price matching or no price matching.
But I was in a shop yesterday and handled these clamps and they are very, very solid and just pretty wonderful. And I can't wait to get my hands on mine and I am waltzing through the cattledog for other bits of joy.....if some is good, more is better

I had to buy one from Carbatec before committing to the big order, so I got one of the meter long ones (or 41" I think). Its an absolute joy to use, but I need another.... One is good, 2 would be better. So when my order arrives, i will have 4 big ones..... Joy

Local Freight Costs
It's a little hard to get exact numbers without exact sizes & weights, but as a pretty close guide the local freight component for those who can't pick up from me will be:
1 Set of clamps: Roughly $20 to Perth and $15 everywhere else
2 Sets of clamps: Roughly $35 to Perth</ST1 and $20 everywhere else
Where local shipping can be consolidated obviously there are savings to be had. Shipping will be via Cope road freight with delivery times of around 1-2 days in the East and up to 4-5 days to Perth.
Reminder: The deal on the clamps ends 29th January (Canadian time of course), so get your orders in before the weekend if you want some. Other items can be ordered up to March 18th for inclusion with this shipment (separate order). If you have not received an email from Lee Valley titled 'Lee Valley Tools Order Confirmation' very shortly after you place your order then I suggest you contact them to confirm.
Also, within a day or so of placing your order you will receive an email from Lee Valley customer service with details of the arrangements. Please read the email carefully and retain it for future reference.
I will notify everyone who has ordered of their share of the local freight, customs costs, duty and GST shortly after March 21.

Many Thanks!
I've been looking at Bessy K clamps for over a year...will I ...wont I..and then the other day on one of my frequent trips to this forum I noticed this thread.
I now also have permission from SWMBO because it makes such enormous economical sense. So thank you Darryl and Rob and this great resource we are privileged to be able to access, for making it possible. My 2 "B" sets plus a couple of other small "maybe I shoulds"...will become reality thanks to you and I couldn't be happier.

"maybe I should"! I went passed that ages ago, I'm only going for "I'll die without".
I mean I'm living in the shed camping on a concrete floor for the next few years, but I'd like to get back in the house before arthritis sets in too bad.Boring signature time again!

Hey Outback - when you're my age you've got to be real careful about "I'll die withouts" - because you just might. "Maybe I shoulds" mean you have to think about them and you HAVE to stay alive in case they become "I'll die withouts" while you're still alive...if you get my drift. What the hell - I'm really looking forward to getting my stuff whatever it's called.
Cheers,

I just added another 'B' set to my A + B order. I figure it's too good an opportunity.

Thanks Daryl and Rob!
I'm in for 2 x B sets and some other stuff (incl some 60" Jorgy Cabinetmasters). I would have ordered more clamps but I don't want SWMBO finding a new use for them on my crotch after seeing the Visa statement...
Daryl: If there are a number of orders to Adelaide and nearby regions, and one drop saves a significant amount of domestic freight for each of us, I'm happy to act as central collection point for fellow croweaters (I live about 13km SW of the CBD, near Marion Westfield).
Gold star to Rob Lee for showing some initiative and good ol' fashioned customer service. Smiley Face for Daryl for taking on the uneviable job of collecting money, keeping customs happy and domestic distribution. I hope you're not out of pocket on this one - hopefully Rob will look kindly upon you...This time, we didn't forget the gravy.

"remember the Big One back in '05, the great Bessey K-Clamp sale? We don't get 'em like that anymore". "Ayup, that was a one-off all right, I wish I'd bought more while I had the chance ..."
I don't want that to be me. If they get cheaper then so be it, but they have always been expensive, so that is unlikely.
The hard part for me is what *else* to get .
What was that? Oh, ok. The hard part for me is really what *else* am I allowed to get. (thanks for correcting me dear...)

Many Thanks to Daryl and Rob for this opportunity.
Like a few of the other new members I have been lurking and learning(mostly about woodwork) from the regular contributors to this forum and this great offer was the push I needed to get active and start participating in the forum.
I don't know where you regulars find the time to post and get out to the shed as well. I'm already being told I spend too much time on the computer since discovering this forum and thats just reading!
