Thanks. I will get back to you, when I get the timber and bench hardware organised.
Joe Joynson (AKA Soundman, and who looks nothing like his avatar. Unfortunately, I do uncannily resemble mine...) is acquiring some timber in August (downgraded hardwood) which I have expressed an interest in purchasing a quantity to do a workbench and other projects.

I would also like to be included for the K type but not aware of numbers at this stage as it is $$$ dependant.
Not sure if I understand whether this is an overseas or local order - if overseas, do the locals get a chance to at least match it or even come close?
Sorry to hear your news Arch.
Regards,
Bob

Hi,
I missed out on the great deal last time...
I am interested in a bunch of K-bodies, subject to pricing being close to what the guys paid then.
2 x 125
6 x 150

Cost saving?
G'day,
While everyone including myself has put in for their order subject to pricing, what was the cost saving last time?

From the first page in this thread, it seems it was:
K30 - $38.50
K60 - $42.31
K125 - $62.08
K150 - $70.88
frame set - $30.91
+ $5 admin + freight
If you look around, the current US prices (leevalley, woodcraft) seem to be, for 4+:
K60 - US$32.40 (==A$36.80)
K100 - US$39.40 (==A$44.77)
K125 - US$43.20 (==A$49.10)
K150 - US$49.50 (==A$56.25)
with the peso around 0.88.
Now those are retail prices and include their margins. Of course there's shipping to Oz, handling, GST perhaps since it's one order, bla bla bla. But you can see that the last-time price of $42 for a K60 is darned good compared to the above $36.80!
Northwood's online prices, the best I could find excluding CT Sydney's recent sale (mmm - 4xK60 + 2xK125 ) are:
K60 - $65
K100 - $93
K125 - $103
K150 - $115

All,
If anyone else in putting in a tentative order for Bessey clamps then please post to this thread over the next day or two. I want to have the numbers by Friday morning (27-July) so I can do up the totals and get some prices for you all.
Ciao,
M.
