Brace handle
Has anyone ever replaced the wooden handle on the sweep of a brace (as in brace and bit)?

Thanks. That's what I suspected but I was hoping there was something I was missing.

What? like a magic wand. I can't see how you could slip that piece of wood around that 90deg corner unless the steel is bent after the handle is put on.
Unless your brace is of some special significance I would just buy another of ebay or at your localmarket for between $5 - $20. I have about 4 or 5 I use on my slab furniture one of which was my fathers, so yes I would try and fix it if the handle came off it. Have fun Jim.
