Camellia Oil
I don't know how this did not click at the time ... I know I read the thread and went to the link ... but these people are in WA and pickup is an option.
500ml = $28 ... 1 Litre = $44
They also have bicarb and citric acid.
Camellia Oil, Organic - Aussie Soap Supplies
Would anyone want this explored further?
Cheers,
Paul

$2 for 750ml in Woolies. I think the bottle I have will last around 86 years at the current rate of usage.
Edit: It might be a 500 ml bottle, I'd have to check. Those were the droids I was looking for.

I'll have a look next time I'm in the supermarket. Maybe it's discontinued here as well.

I asked the local coles if they could get some in ( know the manager well ) she said it was not available and no coles outlet stocked it , the buyer for coles couldn't source it.

There ya go.
So before you all run out and scoop it all up. I want 2 reasonable priced bottles please.

I know Coles used to stock it as I bought a bottle from Coles in Bendigo CBD, but that was some years ago.
At the time it took me ages to find, asking the staff only got me blank looks, but I eventually found it in the Asian food section.
I can't look at the bottle as I dropped it on the concrete floor some time ago, so I have none left.
At the time there was a fair bit of discussion on the forum about Camellia Oil and the other source that people mentioned at the time was Asian grocery stores.

Based on that - and harking back to "Roothy" - I think I'll get some of this and give it a try at $18.60 for 750ml (non-aerosol spray)
Lanotec Heavy Duty Liquid Lanolin -,Spray Lube - 750mL - Supercheap Auto Australia
And some paste wax.
And I note the metalwork guys like G15 for their shiny lathes and mills etc.
edit:
They don't like WD40 as it supposedly encourages rust after a period.
But it works great on my old *dark* cast-iron machines.
And FWW did a rust-prevention article recently with WD40 second-best performer of many.
(Test was a bit light-on)
Thanks,
Paul.
