    Default "Cheap" tenon saw

Hi all. A recent listing on Ebay caught my eye. My bid was the only one and I added another project to the list.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice brass back under all the patina and decided to add an apple handle and try a new style. Found a nut and medallion, sharpened blade and it's good to go.

A previous owner thought enough of the saw to engrave both sides of the blade with his name. The brass has no makers mark. The original nut and bolts have been replaced! I took a punt on it being a better saw than the seller realised because he/she also had listed a Disston saw as coming from the 1950's but it was definitely a pre 1928 #7

Methinks thou art a lost soul, MA - lost in the wilderness of saw restoration...

Excellent job, as usual, you have got things well under control these days! A London pattern handle with a lamb's tongue - you're expanding your repetoire....

    Cheers,
