Default Chisel and hand plane holder

Hey all. Got sick of reaching in the draws for my most used chisels and planes. It holds my narex mortise chisels, irwin bench chisels, veritas #4 smoothing plane, stanley block plane. So i thought id make a little holder that makes thrm very easy to access and also carry the whole lot around where i need them.

A few progress pics but not really a comete WIP unfortunately

Used pocket hole screws and some offcuts i had around the place. Just finished with sime tongue oil. Not the most beautiful thing youve ever seen but it will get the job done

I like it. Necessity is the mother of all invention. By the way I can't open your WIP attachments.

    Ill try again

Sorry it didnt upload in order, the 2nd photo is of it first being joined and glued together. Then the rest are the finished result.

I put in small raised offcuts so i could sit each hand plane so the blade doesnt engage anything at risk of damaging it. i want to be able to just pick it up and small adjustments then use it. the top plane has the same raised bit of timber under it and a small fence surrounding it so it is housed a little so wont fall off the top. the Veritas is my nicest plane so dont want it damaged

now im thinking of designs for a tool cabinet to hold the rest of my planes and braces and other hand held tools

As long as it is useful it is perfect.
