I'm sorry Clinton, that that may have been me

I've been looking for a toother for a while now and $40 seemed like a good price.
I want to try it on some highly figured boards (prior to scraping), and for some veneer work.
A bit of a risk though as there wasn't a good picture of the iron. I'm hoping the toothing has a good bit of length.

I'd be happy to swap the Sargent for another coffin-type toother (if you have one) for your collection purposes. I just want a worker.

I did notice that. There wasn't a great picture of the iron, but I took the risk.

It arrived this afternoon. The iron is a tapered Mathieson with very fine teeth. Not original to the plane as I can see the sides have been widened a bit to take it.
I'm pretty happy with it though. I gave it a test run and it works very well. The iron seats well and the wedge sits firmly. I will need to clean up the bottom a bit.

Nothing more important than personal hygiene - or so they keep telling me.
