Default Congrats to IanW for his latest article in AWR

Well done Ian. Another good read.
No excuses now for anyone not to make their own marking gauges!

You're quick off the mark! I haven't got my copy of the mag, yet, but saw the proofs, of course. It started out to be a more general article on the different ways to make gauges, but it morphed into a sort of 'how to' for my current models, & it isn't what I set out to do in the beginning. I wanted to show how I make my gauges, but I make several parts with my metal lathe, & most people don't have access to a metal lathe. So there should have been extra info showing how you could make something similar using off the shelf bits, but it just wouldn't fit in a single article, & some heavy pruning was required to get in what's there. I hope it's turned out to be something useful. If anyone has questions, fire away..

    So a marking-gauge-making workshop next...??

    Cheers,
    IW

    Congratulations Ian.

Hopefully I'll get to read the new Wood Review tomorrow or Monday ( if it comes on the truck ).

I got a head start with the digital version - which was released yesterday.
Not sure how long it takes for the paper version to arrive.
The digital versions take up way less space!
