    Default Congratulations Chris Vesper

Just got the latest copy of "Fine Tool Journal" and there is an excellent write up on Chris Vesper's layout tools. ( done by Chris Schwartz )
I especially liked the write up on the St Johnsbury Tool Co. ( Fairbanks and Robinson 1873 patent ) sliding bevel. ( definitely need to get me one )

Good to see an Australian Tool Maker getting some high profile international exposure.

Congratulations Chris, and here's hoping that it leads to more success.

    Regards
    Ray

    Well said, Ray.

Chris is a fine craftsman and a good bloke. I have his sliding bevel, and it is beautifully made and a joy to use.

    Hi Guys,
Thankyou so much for the kind words and thought, I am very happy to be published like that by such a high profile author. I met Chris Schwarz in Cincinatti when I was over there for the WIA conference.

Now I'll just sit back and watch the orders roll in...!

Oops I gotta go and make more tools. Making progress on my new try squares in case anyone has ordered one. Still pushing for end of Feb.

Great stuff Chris..... I knew when I placed that order yesterday for the carving knife I had chosen the right person / maker / supplier.

    Well done!

I hope many more sales flow from the added exposure.
Looking forward to the new squares.

    Hi Ray,

Good post. Lets new comers to woodworking and this forum know about our Aussie tool makers.

Also have a couple of Chris's tools, beautiful things.

Well done Chris. Now get back in that workshop and craft some more desirable beauties.

    Cheers
    Pops
