A couple of new ones
I started to make wooden planes a few years ago after taking a seminar at Lee Valley - Philly has no worries. The latest efforts are a smoother and small jack/large smoother for a couple of friends - maple with cherry strips to enlarge the centre section (not a mistake, just a design improvement, he said). The blades are replacement blades for Taiwanese style planes available from LV - a lot cheaper than the Hock Krenov sets. Blades are very, very hard steel which takes and hold an edge well. The pins are 3/8" brass rod, turned down (on my drill press) to fit 1/4" holes in the sides and a small flat filed on one side.
Cheers
Jack

Hope this works now.
