curved stanley knife blades
I'm having trouble tracking down some convex curved blades for the traditional Stanley knife - it seems they're no longer available. A very useful blade - does anyone have any clues on where to get some? - (or why they are longer around?)
cheers,
Bosun

Can't say that I've seen them in years, I know the hook type ones are still being produced though.
Maybe grind your own? Or if you have any old ones give them a re-sharpening? I use a 10" disc of 3/4" MDF mounted behind my lathe chuck to hone all my knife blades and turning chisels. Just dress the surface with a bit of polishing compound and you get a mirror finished edge that puts a razor to shame.

I've not seen any curves ones for a long time either.
Just checked the UK Stanley sight, nothing but straight and hooked listed I'm afraid.
They may still be made as patten parts but it would be more luck than chance to find them.Dragonfly
