    Thanks for the heads up.

Mog4 - I'll be in Belrose tomorrow - did you leave any on the shelf?

    Cheers,

i also got some craftech 50mm ratchet clamps, 2 for $6.50 or there abouts. which seem to be well made with a steel action not plastic and rubber grips

Funnily, I did a google search on the net for TUV a few days ago and that was all I could come up with.

I visited 8 big green boxes today in Perth looking for a triton router and found the clamps at all of them.

I called at Bunnings Newcastle/Kotara and couldn't find any TUV very poor selection realy I ended up buying a Record 30" sash clamp for $67ish dollars ( I have a large seating bench that I am working on and I needed another sash clamp) How does it go? My name is Mark and I have been a toolaholic for 48 years.......... I have not bought tools for, let me see, about 10 hours. Very sad.

Sounds as sad as me dragging LOML to 8 b's looking for a $99 Triton router when there are already two makitas in the shed

lmao ...yer thats about right i cant help buying at least something im of the opinion it isn't worth going down there unless you at least get something

i thought the rule was at very minimum you have to get a clamp as you can never have to many of those

Oh no you're all toolaholics as well, Kevin Krud will have to have a conference on us to see if we are binge buyers and then start toolwatch.

Claw Hama, I got mine at Maitland.
I might try and drop in there tomorrow and see if they have any left. Do you want me to grab you some if they do?
And yes you have to leave with at least a clamp. That's how i got the last lot
Those were the droids I was looking for.

Thanks for the offer NCArcher, I should have enough to do current projects now I have the sash clamp. If I know they are around I'll just keep an eye out. I get out to Glendale now and then, they might have some.

Guys, TUV is the Standards Association for Europe. Aldis clamps, which go on sale at the same time each year, are also TUV approved and I have found no problems with them so far. In fact I tend to buy a new set each year, ( you can never have enough clamps).

I found some at B. in Corio (Vic) this morning ..... but I got ripped off ..... $3.97 each thankyou very much ...... If I lived in FNQ I would be $1.00 better off after walking out with my 10. There was no hiding away in a cardboard box ..... they are sitting on a layer of dust on the bottom shelf along with the Besseys. There were about 50 or so left.

If you can find a store that is willing to do a search on the computer for you (I haven't yet) here is the info that prints on the docket:

    4711414050050 Clamp-F 91AF4A 300mmx80mm Orng/Blk.

You're wrong. I can stop any time I want to. I don't even have to undo the wrapping any more
