Disston No.4 saw vise - value???
Anyone know what this puppy is worth? There's one for sale locally.The only way to get rid of a [Domino] temptation is to yield to it. Oscar Wilde

What I generally do is search completed auctions to get a feel for prices.
fwiw, I wouldn't ever spend over $25-$30 US for a saw vise.

I think that I paid $25.00 for my Disston vise 13 years ago. They really are nice compared to anything homemade for holding a saw blade, and many of them have adjustable tilt away from the operator to easily change the filing angle without screwing up the muscle memory* of filing level.
(*in my case this may be a theoretical advantage only, as I am always half a bubble off plumb in one direction or another, yet would swear on a stack of bibles that I'm filing/cutting/whatever straight and square.)
