Default Is this a Disston-- teeth on bottom and top

This saw has teeth on the top of the blade for the first 6 3/4" (teeth on the bottom as well). It has a Disston medallion, but I'm not sure it is one. Anyone ever seen one of these?

    Regards,
    Dave

The top teeth were probably cut in by a pervious owner to do a particular job. The blade is well used so rather than chuck it out it got modified. I have not seen that on old distons before.
Perhaps used by a electrician or plumber to cut out sections of floor board.
    Regards
    John

The handle is from a D8-style or maybe Simonds saw at a guess.
It used to be set well into its original blade and has been transplanted here.

There might be some etch to uncover in the middle section ... or half of one ...
It sorta looks like there might be some lettering there??

    Good eyes

Here are few attempted closeups of that area. What I can see ends with "L & CO".

You can try pooling some liquid over the area ... eg I spray WD40, then tilt and turn the blade to spread it out evenly ... then use at torch at different angles in a darker room, or even just in the daylight at all sorts of angles ... might show better.

Also rubbing over with 2000 grit auto paper + WD40 can help clear things a bit.

The "font" of the letters seems to suggest 1950ish onwards ... as far as I can think. There is also a graphic going on there ... maybe?
