Old Douglas MFG co. Broadaxe
Hi,
I have an old broadaxe from the Douglas Mfg Coy which my father found embedded in the fork of a cypress tree, many years ago.
I have tried a google search without much success so I am wondering if any of our knowledgable memebers can tell me something about the axe and the company.
It is one of those flat sided axes for trimming beams? ( I think). Interestingly it has an adze type handle rather than a traditional axe handle, which makes sense I guess, considering its function.
Thanks in advance

Broadaxe
They still use this type of broadaxe in throwing contests, usually at regional woodchop events.(Usually women win them)So beware if your woman gets hold of one ,they are pretty accurate shots.
