ian, yes the colour is eye catching isn't it. I think it's known as 'take your life in your hands' green.
IanW, I realise that, being a gentleman, you are trying to put the best light on things and giving the seller the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately though, that appears to be the original motor. The fence appears to be something that has been cobbled together, these saws came with round fence rails, you can see the mounting holes in the side of the table, but no rails. No splitter, antikickback pawls or blade guard either.

Another one who thinks that it’s OK to claims that the photos are sufficient description, although in this case, they probably are. Not to mention that the price he’s asking would be a stretch for one in perfect condition.

Well, the heading is wrong - it ain't a bull-nose at all, it's a chisel plane....

Coincidentally, a very reputable Australian site is also advertising a Stanley 90J Bullnose Rabbet Plane - it does look a ... a little longer.

Asking price is AU$165.
Currency conversion: South African R1,250 = AUD$117.

but if you buy the chisel plane in a Stanley #90J box you are not actually getting a bullnose plane.
What you get is a casting "dropped from a height onto a hard surface and has lost the bullnose bit" that's being sold as -- well I'm not sure.
Certainly not a chisel plane as those can be used as such WITHOUT the needing the broken and a big bit missing bullnose "extension".regards from Alberta, Canada

No longer on the Ryobi website, but Bunnings were remaindering them two years ago at an extortionate $75! The vendor's mark-up is thus a mere 3,987%.

Gee, I remember seeing these in Bunnies and thinking at $75 they must be too cheap to be any good.
At $2990 maybe the quality has improved

Nope, $75 was way too much to ask! My dad had one & was wondering why he was having so much trouble trying to turn some table legs. I had a go at it & found out why - apart from being utterly gutless, it was so flimsy that as soon as I made the merest contact with a skew, it shook & vibrated all over the place. IMO, $7.50 would be too much to pay....

Cheers Matt.
