Yes, yes ... It just dawned on me!
Beats those modern fancy-pants drill presses with the laser guides.......
I can't wait to see what this one fetches!

I think there are two possibilities with the plane.
1. It was salvaged from the Titanic and as such has tremendous provenance.
2. The seller is a motivational speaker and is demonstrating that, if you can spout enough bull and have the gift of the gab, you can sell anything.
In his defence, which would have to be pro bono, he does state that it is broken and rusty and may be suitable for parts, but I assume that the only salvageable part would be the brass. $4 seems a bit steep :) .

Well this makes me very sad. Would probably have been a beauty of a bench in its time.
Yeah, I had a good long look at it & I wonder if it ever was a bench, or just some old Red Gum made up to look like it once was. Hard to say, but at least it isn't in the fire yet (or not this part of it). :;
Cheers,
That would be my vote, the laminated red gum tool tray doesn't seem right. A kitchen bench in the woodwork bench style using secondhand timber and fittings, not a bad thing. And at $2500, a nice little earner. :) But more re-manufactured than refurbished.Quote:

I to would go with re-manufactured
It seems the industrial retro look is coming back again.
That style of bench kitchen bench is quite popular.
I've seen a couple of very old work benches in those antique places were you rent floor space.
With to be honest stupid prices on them
$600/$700/$800 and up.
For ones that have had one hell of a life.
I personally think good luck to seller if he sells for the asking price good on them.
