I can see lots of etches! Less-discerning types might call them corrosion.

And if that's an 'antique' I must be even older than I feel, because I reckon I predate it by at least 40 years!

Without the words "old vintage" these blokes would have little to say.

It would chop up any Blowies or Mossies that get sucked into the slipstream!

    What's all the kerf-uffle?
I'd like to make a few points.
It's a cut above the usual fan blade.
    Let her rip I say.
The ideal defence against sawing temperatures.
    I think it looks sharp.
However, I can see why the owner would Disston-ce himself from it.

Yes it's a sight for saw eyes!
For those that haven't seen it in context, I highly recommend a quick look through the rest of the collection:

    Hiroller

Thanks for linking. No I hadn't seen it, but what an addiction .

In scrolling through (and I didn't get all the way) I found this saw, with which I was completely unfamiliar and it is not listed on the Disstonian Institute site.

    Eagle saw 7.JPGEagle saw 1.JPGEagle saw 2.JPGEagle saw 3.JPGEagle saw 4.JPGEagle saw 5.JPGEagle saw 6.JPG

He lists it as a No.14. Now that's a carved handle, both sides, top and bottom!

Not sure what the two Panther saws are in the fourth pic.

On closer inspection the "Panthers" are No.12s.

The panther saws are nearly legendary - they are from Woodrough& McParlin ... maybe the eagle saw also? I don't recall.

But you too could have owned one ...
