[QUOTE. what? there's hardly anything here?QUOTE]

Now you know why I get frustrated when I have to come home from chauffering around Wisconsin and Ohio knowing I have to leave room in my bags for what the women folk need to bring home. I must have about 40lbs of odds and ends picked up just in Delavan when I walk down to the library to use the internet (quicker than waiting for a turn on a keyboard) waiting in my mates barn for me to have weight or space

Given this I was hoping to nab the current 6 on ebay as I have a spare tote and lever cap. Can't believe that it has gone to $77 with still two days to go and it does not even have a Turner lever cap, blade or tote The body does look nice from the pics though.

Apologies if this is on your watch list, but I am guessing that it has moved well past the point of being a bargain - even at this stage:

Nice chisels, I did not know Titan made long paring chisels like that, I have a 1 inch beveled ward with a 200mm blade and it is beautiful to use, always on the lookout for more of them.

PS I don't even look at Titans on ebay anymore.

    Default Titan Chisels

I believe they are pattern makers chisels. The long blades are to allow pattern makers to pare long trenches or rebates when making molds for casting metal items.

Saw this, I'm confused, is it the name of the maker or the type of wood that's very rare?

might have been "home made blades" with titan handles stuck on.....but nobody would do that , would they?

These aren't home made we had a slew of them at a sale about 5 or 10 years ago.
    Sold for about $5 each.
There is a 3/4 page of Titan chisels on page 268 of the McPherson's 1964 catalogue.
    Shows
    Firmer-wood handle 1/8 to 2in.
    Firmer-plastic handle 1/4 to 11/2
    Firmer butt-wood 1/8 to 2
    Firmer butt-plastic 1/4 to 11/2
    Registered-wood 1/8 to 2
    Heavy socket-wood 1/4 to 11/2
    Light socket-wood 1/4 to 11/2
    Light socket butt-wood 1/4 to 11/2
    Long paring-wood 1/4 to 11/2
Firmer gouge -wood 1/4 to 1 in. Out cannel #161. In cannel #163.

I'll try and copy it if anyone is interested. Lots of info in the old cats.

Goodall and Co from 1955 has a similar with 3 Berg "Fish" brand and 5 Titan.

Come to the Tool sale on Sunday sure to be a few Titans.
I will be selling Patternmakers paring chisels and gouges even a few cranks.

Anyone here see this one go? http://tinyurl.com/lb5plx
    I couldn't belive it. I was thinking maybe I'll bid $40.
Glad I didn't because I actually went though my collection last night and found I already had one.

What I did bid on was these: http://tinyurl.com/mobtys
    And I won!

A very happy way to finish the week.

    Cheerio,
    Virg.

PS I might have to go through my garage and start making my fortune.
