Yes it is strange that it received no bids.
Australians are starting to take an interest in Trade Me but are limited in what they can usefully bid for because of the payment options. It may have been an Oz buyer who took the number 7 because of the ease of payment.
Odd that the Bedrock had no interest. Maybe we were all watching the football at the time.
Cheers

Go for it if you can .

Looks very much like a kitchen utensil, I'd suggest bean cutter perhaps!

The "Stanley Little Big Book" lists the USA made 90J for US450 for user, US650 for good condition and US900 for mint, so the ebay price is not so absurd.
For the UK made ones, divide those prices by 10.

Good one, Ern. Bean slicer sounds much more likely! Here's a Spong.

You're exactly right KevM - its a bean slicer!
Instructions for use:
To use this fantastic time-saving kitchen innovation, the modern lady of the house should attach it firmly to the edge of the kitchen table using the easy-to-adjust screw clamp, and then feed green string or runner beans through the angled hole that points upwards. While each bean is being fed into the slicer with one hand, today's time-pressed housewife should rotate the handle with the other hand, and the blade on the scientifically designed rotating disc will cut each bean cleanly into angled pieces 35 mm long.
The ultimate in kitchen wizardry - so very handy and a real time saver if the beans are a bit stringy, and so much more convenient and without the danger of using a knife on a chopping board.
Any modern housewife can now amaze hubby and guests with uniformly cut and presented green beans.
Wow
