Get this one it is a primative antique. So that would be an antique used by primates?

Two Rhino lathes - one of them is dreaming !!

    RHINO WOOD LATHE | eBay

4 Speed Wood Lathe: Rhino | eBay

Just to clarify, both the items are probably dreaming of becoming real lathes one day - I meant that one of the asking prices deserves "tell 'im he's dreaming!"

    Cheers,
    Andrew

I have a lathe identical to the first one. It is a GMC that I bought brand new for $99. I bought it to turn up chisel handles. $50 is about twice as much as it is worth.

As for the second lathe, which seems fundamentally the same......

    Yeah

Not sure you can bid 20 - 25 bucks though. Could convert it to a sanding station

Not sure why people put such high prices on those lathes but you often see them listed in NZ for more than they cost new at Bunnings or M10 Mega.
    Not that i'm complaining.
I sure it helped me get a good price for mine when I sold it.

you're a hard man, for your $50 minimum bid you also get
    • 5 chisels
    • and what looks like a pretty solid wooden bench

so if the lathe is only worth $22, you're getting a real bargin for the bench and chisels

Stu, maybe you could start up a business exporting No 7's across the ditch?
