I was joking of course, but I have to say it's the first one I've seen. They don't look terribly handy. Are they primarily boatbuilders' tools?
...I'll just make the other bits smaller.

Interesting plane. Other than a #33, what is it?

I don't know the intended use of corner braces, but I assume general carpentry.
Here is a couple more, and some other angle drilling things

Hi Berlin,
That angle brace is very handy where you're boring a hole close to the wall as in screwed flooring, or you can lay it on the floor when doing skirting etc. You can get a full crank of the handle as opposed to having to rachet it as you would with a normal brace.
The one you linked looks very similar to the Millers Falls 502 that Toby showed us. Thanks Toby.
I and other members of the HTPS WA put on tool displays at various events and I always get a lot of interest in my MF 502 from visitors.
Also as a brace collector, sjt and Rhancock, I resent your associating brace and proctology. A butt guage is much more appropriate.
Regards,
Geoff.

Hey Geoff,
The only HTPS WA web page that I can find, is from 2011. Can you give me a current link?

Hi Geoff,
Thanks for the info. Given my recent tool 'diet' I guess I'll be doing without an angle brace for the time being... I am in the market for a two jaw 10" though. (It's one of those diets where you only deny yourself things you didn't want anyway )
Cheers...I'll just make the other bits smaller.

For only $900.00, you can walk away with this beauty. Notice the generous throat.

Hi Toby,
I'm sorry to say that that 2011 HTPS WA web site is all I could find too, furthermore I don't even know which of our members runs it. I don't recall it coming up at any of our meetings.
I can tell you that the next event we will be attending is the Woodshow at Claremont show grounds from August 3rd 4th and 5th, where we will have hand tool displays and sales.
We still meet every first Thursday of the month at the church hall, Washer st East Victoria Park.
I'll make some enquiries. I can see myself landing a job here.
Regards,
Geoff.
