Rats, somehow I missed TobyC's reply.....the mystery of the internets.

Anyway, the politically correct term is Jaw Harp.

    1. Thanks! That's very cool ... you've been waiting to post that somewhere, right?

    2. Non-PC version = Jew's Harp I'm guessing?

    3. Would you want to buy a secondhand one?

    Cheers,
    Paul

In my childhood I only heard of them referred to as a Jew's harp, but more recently the Jaw harp term has become prominent. My son has several he plays. He keeps buying new ones as he wears them out! HJe maintains the best harps come from Slovakia.

Interestingly in the ebay listing it was advertised correctly, but he then went on to imply it was a bottle opener. I'm with Paul on the secondhand aspect. There's no way I would be putting that anywhere near my mouth on both the hygene level and the integrity level of the metal. They break quite easily.

They go by many names, juice harp or jew's harp is what I usually hear, sometimes just 'the twanger'. There's even a JEW'S HARP GUILD!

Looks like a nice little bench. Hang on. How much is she asking!!!!????!?!
The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

Too right. I notice it's pick up from Doncaster East. Plenty of Yuppies around there.

    Agreed.

Have a look though his other items. The vintage Marilyn Monroe cigar holder was an interesting one at $750. I won't trouble to put it here as it may only be a temporary post . I did wonder where the cigar goes but my first thought was dispelled when I scrolled down the photos.

Wow... only 150 bucks for some rotten saw horses! My back deck must be worth thousands.
