G'day everyone im new to this so give me a break.
I was searching through my grandfathers old tools and found a Elmo chisel and a nooitgedagt chisel.
Does anyone know anything about these chisles. Are they any good?

Hi Rowan,
Welcome to the forum.
Elmo chisels that I have seen are made in Brazil, and have a soft black plastic handle that will take a lot of punishment.
The steel is actually quite good even though the chisels look like an economy type.
The Nooitgedagts are a Dutch brand and are made from Swedish steel.
They have a very good reputation for the quality of their blades, and come in at least two different handle types - red unbreakable plastic, and the traditional wooden variety.
I have had both types and prefer the plastic because, in my opinion, the steel in their blades was slightly better.
Either were good though.
You won't be disappointed with these and you have the beginnings of a good set.
Happy chiselling
