Is this Enderes a tile saw?
I picked up this Enderes saw at a garage sale this weekend and I'm not sure what it is. My brother-in-law thinks it's a tile saw. The "blade" is just a cable with a rough surface.
Regards,
Dave

Pretty sure it's a hacksaw with a tile cutting blade installed.

I have one of these blades still with its packaging, it is called a rod saw. It is made from tungsten carbide and according to the blurb on the packaging, it will cut glass, metal files, and ceramic tiles. and will cut in any direction.
Helpful hints include
- Do not tighten when hot. Cooling may cause excessive tightening.
- Use long and full strokes, exerting pressure both backwards and forwards.
- Not recommended for cutting soft materials.
- extend cutting life by rotating in saw frame

Yes a TC rod blade. You can also get a regular hacksaw blade with TC granules on the edge for strait cuts. I have both for many years and they do cut all sorts of stuff. Very handy to have.

I have one of those tile cutting blades and have not even come close to cutting a tile with it.

Very good for cutting limestone.
Probably brick too.
Cheers,
