An old saw doctor will be about the only person who would know how to do this. They do it by belting the blade with a hammer in the same way as hand saws are straightened but after seeing someone doing it I would never attempt it myself. They seem to hit it in the oddest places that I could never fathom why. That was also for a straight steel blade - I don't know if that would work for the newer alloy steel blades and my main concern is what's it gonna do to the CT brazing. It would seem easier and safer to just get yourself a new blade.

what you are refering to about fixing saw blades by hammering on a anvil with hammers is a specilist trade called saw doctoring.if you dont have any skill in this field it is best left to a saw doctor they will use their skill to adjust the tension that may be lacking or there maybe to much in the center or the rim,saw blades also can develope hollows and bumps.hope this small amount of info is some help.
cheers blue.

I have done it to an old hand saw and the result was surprisingly good. I was just experimenting and surprised myself with a garage sale saw. I would not know where to begin with a circular blade. I have a gut feeling it is not doable on a hard steel blade. You would also need serious measuring equipment to tell when it was true. When spinning at a high revs a little bit out will soon be noticed and be dangerous.

Jones,
If this is a hand saw type of saw, and if there is simply an even curve in a paortion or the whole of the blade, you can simply arc it back the opposite way tp remove a curve. No beating on it needed.
If there is a sharp bend or a small kink, by all means use Bob's tutorial given above. But for a bend, nah, just over bend it the opposite way.
Take care, Mike

Sorry Jonesy, I misunderstood what you meant by a panel saw - I assumed circular. Hand saw is much more feasible and will take a couple of goes but at the very least you should be able to reduce the problem.
