    Default Feedback.

Hi. Am I the only user that is having trouble adding a post within this forum. When adding text; and wish to start a new line, pressing the RETURN key would be the norm. Now it wont let me out of the same text line. I have no problems within other woodwork sites bar within this actual forum. I am at a loss to understand why. Stewie.

Works fine for me, I did a quick google search on your issue and it looks like it might be caused by an incompatility with explorer v10. You can check your version from within your browser as per the picture attached.

It looks like there might be an upgrade to the forum software that addresses the problem, but I have seen quite a few issues with explorer 10 so i would still recommed downgrading to 9 or even better using firefox.

If you are not sure how to downgrade let us know what version of Windows you are using.

    Good Morning Stewie

I had a similar problem several years ago when Woodwork and Renovation Forums split; turned out it was some gremlin in Explorer. Also affected other sites.

Switched to the free Mozilla Firefox and no problems since.

Thankyou for your assistance gentlemen. Joez. I am using Windows 7. Graeme. Was entering site via Explorer. Tried it through Firefox and things are as they should be. Very happy.

    Regards; Stewie.

If you want to downgrade your explorer you should be able to find it under Control Panel/Uninstall a Program then choose View installed updates.

This will bring up a list of installed updates, you will find explorer 10 listed there and just select "Uninstall" to remove it. It will require a restart to complete.

Good old windows hey. Now you're not using a windows (firefox) product you shouldn't have any more problems. The reason you get so many updates from windows is because you have to pay for a product that doesn't work as it should then have to report all the faults with it for them to then work out a fix and issue an update.
    Regards Rod.
