Hand-stitched rasp, same shape as Nicholson #49 ?
Some years ago Nicholson has moved his rasp production from USA to Latin America. Doing so, many say that the Nicholson #49 rasp has lost its revered quality, hence they ask me what I could do about this.
I am wondering if it would be worth investing in a new forging die and produce a “Liogier #49” that would have the same shape of a Nicholson #49 but with the quality of hand-stitched teeth.
If you think it would be a good idea, please let me know.
Thank you.
