Free freight from Canada
If a bloke had a one-off opportunity to send a small amount of gear over with another consignment, what should he order from a certain establishment there, hmmmm? I'm thinking twin-screw vise, BU smoother, truing stone, bits 'n' bobs. There goes about $600 already. Any other ideas? Need to order tomorrow.

I am afraid buying from LV is a truely personal experience. This sounds like an opprotunity to buy something big or heavy though. Scan the catalogue. Every time I look at it I see something I want.

can you define small?
My choice would be things that are long and/or heavy, such as:
BU Jointer + fence
Router plane Item 05P3820
scraper burnisher Item 05K3501
Asymetric drawing bow Item 05N5520 }
Symmetric Drawing Bow Item 05N5501 }(if the box is long enough)
Router fence Item 05J21.01 or Item 05J38.10 depending on your table
Right angle router sled Item 05J24.01
Kreg Bandsaw fence Item 86N40.07
selection of uncommon router bits, eg the Stanley #55 Molding Router Bits
large metal detector Item 86K7835
Aluminum Roller Strip Item 99W7535
If your shopper is going to one of the Lee Valley's stores they can get a box and the packing to pack the lot into.
If they are flying out of Vancouver, United and Air Canada don't weigh luggage bound for the US or Australia, but to be sure try and keep the package weight to less than about 33kg.

You can always look back on the great LV order of 2005 https://www.woodworkforums.com/f152/bessey-body-clamps-14316 - all 55 pages for inspiration
Ah fond memories and the additional things I would order now.

yes we can.
The key prerequisits are:
- a willing co-ordinator here in Aus who has the time to do the shipping stuff
- access to a warehouse or similar (preferably in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne) for delivery, and unpacking, of the container/pallets
- an account (or similar) with an Australian courier company to ship the stuff to everyone's address
- Rob Lee agreeing to do it again
