    Default Furniture

Not entirely sure where to post this, but ...

I was a little surprised when, after making an ebay payment, one the little "other suggestions" was - on investigation - ...

19th Century Still Life of Peaches and Grapes

Luckily I scrolled down and read the write-up:
"Over the next six weeks due to the sale of a significant family property over 300 items will be listed on eBay for an unreserved sale. "

Down the bottom of the page are 33 small pictures that expand nowhere near enough (mostly) to give a *really* good look, but there are some excellent pieces there to be gawked at.

    Very interesting.

Hmmm ... saving the pics and uploading them here they come out a LOT better than on ebay. I might grab them all if anyone's interested.

Also ... in the bedroom picture ... check out the feet of the big carved whatever-it-is. Not exactly the best place to hide your diary.

    Cheers,
    Paul McGee

I'd be really careful with that one - make sure the seller has a very good & clear title to the goods. For some reason I hear 'family dispute' 'deceased estate' & ' excrement fight' all in the wind.

I was *looking* at the furniture ...

I don't expect to *afford* any of it

Just means that the doors swing open and there's no other way to keep them shut other than tilting the wardrobe back.

    Interesting stuff.
We don't know how lucky we are......
