I'm still turning over ideas for a Saw Till and a Saw Vice in the back of my mind.
One element I'm thinking over: I have 23 saws happily nestled in a box 910mm x 420mm (36" x 17"). They are all standing upright on their teeth, some kept in their packaging for extra protection.
It isn't a display arrangement, but shows that a draw-type approach could be a lot more compact than you might think.
Cheers,
Paul

If you thought I was thick before ... you ain't seen nothing yet
Today I finally realised that I had precisely the tools I needed to help set it all up ... about two metres behind where I took the photos from.
... And it only took two weeks to figure that out ...

OK ... short pause on the workbench build while I decide if I want to 'waste' that nice jarrah ...
I finally put together the wood rack I was initially bidding on ... way back.
Don't let anyone tell you "If if comes apart, then it'll go back together" ... Hah.
6 bolts ... couldn't be hard right?
We "put it up" losing light yesterday ... and today I took it apart and turned the X-frame around and this time put it together lying down before standing it up. 5 bolts in - 1 to 'encourage' left.
At least that's one(/three) thing(s) off the drive.
The other 'bonus' racks remain almost as is from July ... although mocked up properly level now.
I've been waiting for another day when I (a) had time and (b) felt able to do a good job again with the welding.
I continue to wait
Cheers,
Paul

That old saw set looks a bit like the one my father used to set the teeth on the old 6ft cross cur saws that the brother and I used for cutting firewood!
