    Default Last Hand Plane race for 2008 - Prizes!

    Hi guys,

    The Lumber Bunker is holding it's famous DAR hand plane race again next week.

    Friday the 28th November 3pm.
    In the Lumber Bunker Workshop 232 Manns Road West Gosford.

    It's a great way to hone your handplane skills as nothing pushes you to finer tolerences then a little friendly competition!

    The rules are simple see old thread here for more details.

    Bring your own weapons if you like but we have some spare if you can't haul them into the shop.

    Seeing as though it is the last race for 2008 I will put up prize from the shop. maybe a chunk of timber.... (to be decided)

    We'd love to see as many forumites (and you lerkers) as possiable.

    Hope to see you guys there. send me a PM if you'll be coming so I can organise things a little or a lot.

    Time to beat for the record is still 23 minutes + 1.5 minutes in penlties.

    I hope you guys are in training 'cause I just finished edge jointing about 18 metres of 40mm jarrah, on both sides! straight and square as a die.

    As for the prize. I will put up a big hunk of American Walnut! for the winner.
    So start honing you have less then a week.

    PM me if you want to in we have two so far, so it's on! All are welcome to come and watch too, if you don't think your up for the race this time around.
