Most of my tools are older than that publication. I'm not sure if I should use those new fangled methods.

Thanks for all the responses. I found this when I was working out the best way to reshape and sharpen some engineers dividers I bought. In fact it was the only resource I could find about divider maintenance, a highly important topic. Especially when engineers insist on grinding one leg shorter than the other.
