No, I have never done any scraping of rust. That was until this No.62! Under the handle there was a buildup of cruddy, loose material including small slithers of rust and I used one of my sawscrew drivers, which has a wide blade, to remove the loose material. I could have used something like a paint scraper, but the driver was to hand. To find that condition under the handle is unusual in itself as normally it is quite protected. In fact, I often look at the metal beneath the handle and say to myself that is the finish I am aiming for. Not with the No.62! It was diabolical.
