    Sorry Fletty,
if you are talking about this set
    http://www.hntgordon.com.au/hntccset.htm
it was not sold on ebay but was sold in 2007
    the saws:
    http://www.hntgordon.com.au/custommadeplanes.htm
also sold in 2007 from similar ebony to big set.(the matching Dovetail saw arrived a few months later.)
However, matching timber, from the same single piece of ebony, was used to make the A55 Trying, A55 Smoother, a pair of spoke shaves and a New Aussie Jack complete with the A55 adjuster, as a custom order also in 2007.
Chris Vesper made a set of tools from similar ebony to match this set. Bevels, knives and two gauges.
Yes they are ...just beautiful... but also fantastic user tools as well.
One day I hope to be able to do them justice.

Take the HNT cattledog with you, or leave on the dining room table, ie somewhere where it will be seen

    Good luck Socrates,
as Sawdust Maker said...show her the HNT material. Keep dropping hints and even if she dosen't get it for you.... you might be able to get some milage out of the ring for some time to some.

    Thumbs up Hnt

I want one of everything Mr Gordon makes in every variety of timber he uses, just so I can sit and gaze at them!!
