    Default Homemade cabinet scraper holder

Hi, does anyone have a design for a home-made cabinet scraper holder (card scraper, that is).

I have tried roughing up my own, which worked OK, but would like to see what is tried and tested before investing any time in making a decent one.

    thanks

From memory, there was an article in Fine Woodworking within the last 12 months, and someone referenced it on this bb. I'm sure a search under cabinet scraper will find it.

Thanks Alex, I did the search first. There was a reference to the FWW article in a prior thread, but no plan, measurements or description.

    cheers

In the issue of Tools & Shops which is in the newsagents now, there is an article on making a wooden scraper on pp66.

May be what you are after.

That's the one I was thinking of.

You can also protect your thumbs a bit by getting a couple of those little rubber things cashiers used to put on their fingers to help them count banknotes - you can still get them from newsagents & stationers.
