Identification Flowchart - Stanley Bailey Types 1 - 20
I found this today and thought to share it.
I've no idea whether it is correct, accurate or fiction.... but no doubt those in the know will correct it!

I think it's pretty accurate but only applies to US planes IIRC.

A little simplistic but not bad for use as a "first glance" reference; the later type descriptions have some errors but anything with the ogee-shouldered frog (type 16 on) generally aren't sought after much anyway.
My "bible" is the RexMill Hand Planes 101 type study.Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.

WP, I've added it to the "sticky" thread on plane information & dating at the top of the page.
There are now multiple choices of ways to date your (American made) Stanley....
