I'm looking for a couple of small Bergs...
Hi All,
I put an ad in the "Marketplace" but thought it wouldn't hurt to mention in this forum that I'm after a 3/8" and a 1/2" Berg B.E. socket to fill out the chisel set I inherited from the old pot's shed recently. He definitely had a 1/2", but can't recall if there was ever a 3/8", though I suspect there was because he had all the other common sizes, including 5/8", from 1/8" to 1.5". I would like decent users, not pristine 'collectors', and damaged or missing handles are no problem at all - I've had to replace a couple already. I used Olive for two, but tried some wood I found kicking about which I THINK is Crow's Ash (but not sure) for the last one & it is a better match for the original (Birch?) handles (see pic).
I am happy to negotiate purchase or swaps - anyone with a couple of spares who is in the market for a 300mm carcase saw?IW
