Beautiful Kev. I am most envious. Would you take my first born for one?
You have built up a staggering collection of top drawer tools - time for a family photo?

Thanks folks. I'm very pleased with how the family is growing.
I think most of us here are a little envious of your wonderful collection Derek. Both the high end tools made by others and many of your own fabulous creations. I can't tell you how often I've looked at the photos on your website, and others you've posted on a range of forums, and thought "wow, wouldn't that be nice."
The family photo will come eventually. I'm waiting on a few more to arrive in the next 6 -18 months.
Here are a few pics of the woody bits waiting to be housed in metal.

All of these in matching Arizona ironwood, except for the Chris Vesper tools which are from a different but similar log.
I'll keep updating as they arrive.)

I'm very pleased with this trio. The Ironwood is lovely when the sun catches it.
The planes work a treat.
Thanks Konrad

Some of you know that I have a thing for Macassar Ebony. I purchased my first plane from Raney Nelson about 6 months ago. It was a DT2 in African Blackwood. I thought that I'd ask if I could get another, but bigger...hence today the new DT 3 arrived.
The pictures don't do it justice. The Macassar is stunning and I am so pleased with both of these lovely tools.
More to come down the track.

Here is a link to the latest planes by Konrad Sauer.
I asked Konrad to design the K4, K5 and K6 and he did not disappoint. Shown here are the K5, K6 and K7. What can I say...

They match the K4 very well and look and feel so much better in the flesh. IW is just amazing. I'll get some shots of my K4 with these three shortly. When I started this thread I had no intention of getting all of these but they work so well.

The group shot will happen eventually. Perhaps September or November next year. I should have the whole family together by then.
I have an old wardrobe that cost me $50 from a salvo's store. I'll build the special storage one day.

Infill envy
Well, it's not a traditional infill...
A good few years ago Philip Marcou burst onto the bespoke plane manufacturing scene and quickly became one of the go to guys.
Philips dedication to his craft and the continual tweeks to his designs, based on real customer feed back and the reviews of the tool magazine writers and editors, is to be commended.
Here is the new modified M12 plane that arrived this morning. I've only spend an hour or so with it but it's a joy to use. The Wenge knob is a tactile delight. Kevjed
It's looking like the 6 month and 4 month remissions you underwent during 2013 and 2014 were clearly temporary and not indicative of rehabilitation nor any reasonable prospect of such. Under the circumstances, for 2015 I think you should simply give in as there are desires there beyond the realms of human control .
Half your luck. A fabulous collection. I'm so pleased I decided not to collect hand planes or I'd be writing this post from the bankruptcy court.
Yours in addiction.
