Strange Plane Parts
A couple of (I assume) plane parts found in the bottom of a box.
My first thought was that they might be from aboat anchordoor stopStanley 55, but it seems not. I then hoped for a dovetail or shooting plane bits, but as far as I can tell not those either (even though I did find both spurs for a dovetail in the same box which financed quite a lot of reckless tool spending when I cashed them in).
The first is 11.5cm in length; the second has 337 stamped under the screw and is 7cm long.
Any ideas from the cogniscenti?

The bottom one is definitely the shoe from the Stanley 55 central/auxillary skate.
The top one looks like an add-on skid for a beading stop but I can't remember if it's from a 55 and I'm 2 hours away from mine to check for you...
Edit:
Just gone looking further and the 55 beading stop IS a two piece. With the shoe attached it acts as a beading stop; take the shoe off and it becomes a simple depth stop for the left hand skate.Last edited by Chief Tiff; 2nd October 2022 at 06:02 PM. Reason: More research...
