everybody seems to love this G15 stuff ,
perhaps some people that travel (by vehicle) between some cities might be able to offer to bring a box of it with them to spread around to those in need
cheers

Howdy Ian,
my experience differs from yours a bit with the U beaut wax. if put on thin and rubbed (even if not rubbed) a bit it seems to do a bit but not enough to say its a preventative e.g some rust spots appear in random places, if i use that i need to put it on thick to have a hope of preventing rust
cheers

If "it can't be shipped" - it may be because that it is an aerosol container product?
But there might also be a non-aerosol version? (Which to me is better - more volume for the $s)
I see now 'though that Shipito.com in the US is saying that they can now send aerosol goods (not previously).
Surely if aerosol cans can come from the USA to Oz ... then ... ?
Paul
Easy solved. Victoria to Perth via California

I'll give Chris a call because if that's the case I would rather keep the money in oz and help out our guys instead.

on the site there is a non aerosol version in 20 and 200L.
After i sent my first email i did ask about australia wide distributors but am yet to hear back.
If there is someone from Melbourne and someone from Nowra and another web seller based in Sydney selling it up and down the east coast then surely its a road transportable item.
BTW the info on Mr Vespers site shows that beyond tools in Perth stock it, word of caution he also suggested that carbatec Bris sold it which section1 advises is not the case. (we had this conversation before about Perth stockists did you call them mr McGee ?)

No bris carba tec doesn't sell it I asked them today and according to Aus Post they won't ship the aerosole but tubs are most probably ok but I haven't confirmed anything to know whether it is or isn't but I'm sure there would be no problem with it.

For those of you in Perth. I have only just 2 weeks ago purchased some G15 at Beyond Tools in Malaga. $10 for a can.

I've just discovered that car polish one with no silicon does the same job so atleast it holds out for a month so I think I will give that a go

Well I'm convinced Autoglym is the polish I'm using it contains no silicon and does a fantastic job on keeping away the rust, as you all know it's been very humid in Qld and it's been a nightmare for me as I'm just as fussy as Frank Klaus when it comes to care of my tools and I found this product to work. It not only kept the rust away but it actually makes it a tad bit more shinnier, I use the Super resin polish and you can pick it up from repco, it ain't cheap but it's worth it. Believe it or not this has actually been formulated for the queen of England and the prince of wales, it does a marvelous job and works even better on cars the best I've come across and I've tried every polish on the market.
Mystery solved.

I have told this story before but I will give another run here.
As a first year apprentice (1970) I was working with a mature tradesman who had a handsaw which was a brown colour and showing no rust. Mine on the other hand were weeks old and were starting to show streaks of surface rust from timber sap and the odd shower of rain that would come over us. I asked the tradesman what I could do to my saw to have the same, what I thought was a protective coating, colour as his. He stopped and looked me in the eye and said....."use the bastards!"
Now after 42 years mine are just the same colour as his were. Yes it may be nice to have shiny tools but its more important to use the them properly/efficiently and care for them so they are ready to go to work when you are.Just do it!
Kind regards Rod
