    Thumbs up Kreg pocket hole

Finally my Pocket hole (only the very basic version) arrived today, and what a brilliant piece of gear, used it on the bookcase i'm making. Just had to tell someone my wife doesn't understand.

    cheers

They never do, they are a great little jig though. Made my kitchen with one.

    Default Intrigued....

I'd love to know what a pocket hole is or does.... My imagination has come up with some creative ideas, (some of which your wife wouldn't understand!) but, could you post some photos? Of the tool, and what you did with it?
    Thanks!

Best i could do was use a picture off ebay, as the digital camera is currently in Canberra.

Ahh.. Good work, now I understand! I can see how that would make life easier. Nice Toy! Thanks for making the effort.

I've used one happily for a few years now. I really can't justify upgrading again to the newest setup, but it would be nice

Just be careful with the torque setting on your drill/driver - I've been stripping a few screw holes in extra soft Radiata with my new 14volt Makita compared to my older drivers.

You will start to invent projects for that jig! I have had the older K-2 jig for a few years now and it makes so many instant solutions of its own (20 min. to build a two-tiered cedar planting stand for SWMBO).

Oldish thread I know but I just wanted to say that I intend to build the entire face frame of our kitchen using my new jig..... bought at the working with wood show last Friday. Will see how it performs and look into buying a more serious version later on.

See post 2, still holding up after SWMBO's demolition efforts in the kitchen.
