Me & my big mouth! It looks like the nose is removeable to convert them to chisel planes? Very handy. Now I will have to find another small corner or two in my toolbox. (At least the mini was easy to fit in!)
Yeah, must say I don't miss deep-minus temperatures or shovelling that white stuff. But it's also not much fun when it's +30 & 85% humidity as it is here at the moment - we've had more than 6" of rain over the last week & it's still hanging about. I was trying to French-polish the other day & succeeded in making a right mess. Will have to return to that job when things cool down & dry out a bit...
Cheers,IW

Can you imagine the wallet carnage if Lee Valley was ever to open a store here?
I suppose I could just have my wages paid straight into LV's bank.

Hi Kevin -
Tough one to answer - it's certainly a possibility, though we'd still prefer you support your local folks like Carbatec first... bend their ears for the stuff you want... and I'll work on 'em too! Will see see them again at the end of Feb in Cologne, and we usually have at least one dinner together. This year - I hope that they'll try the BIG glasses of beer though.....

Now THAT would be a business meeting. Over 2 litre glasses of beer !!!!
Trying to remember what was agreed on would be the problem the next day .

Nice idea for your 'new' Jack/rabbet plane.

Rob,
I've been asking them to get the new saws, 20PTI and Rip, for some time now but...
I do try to support Aussie suppliers as much as possible and accept that I pay a little more most of the time but...
I'd still love for you to have a store here in OZ.
Thanks for the feed back.
Kevin
