Lie-nielsen
Amazing service! -from Lie-Nielsen.
On 15th February I ordered a Small Chisel Plane , 2 DVD's -David Charlesworth's No.1 Plane sharpening and No.2 on hand planing. , two books , a planesock and a T-shirt.Total cost including delivery was US$250 (A$320).
The plane was US$125 which works out at A$160 against its price from Australian suppliers of A$256. The delivery cost was A$47 but this was for all of the items.
AND the goods arrived today! -exactly one week after I placed the order.
With the stronger $A, it again pays to buy from the US, particularly with this sort of service.
regards Dereg

They're great arent they?
Im averaging about 3-4 days delivery on their stuff. Very nice people to deal with too. And I really enjoyed "The Naked Gun"!"the less moving parts there are, the less chance of something going wrong-unless of course you wobble something important at the back"

When actually what woodworkers want is chisels with flat backs.
BTW 5 LN chisels = $250US = $315 AUD + postage + GST (if unlucky)
Probably cheaper than some Jap chisels. I still can't justify the purchase though

The LN's are lovely to use too. Ive got a set of two cherries which took absolutely ages to flatten and the profile is horrible. I tried the LN's and that was it for me. 10 rubs on waterstones and you're there. Ive been using the 19mm almost exclusively and am only now just starting to think of honing.
I'm now awaiting delivery of a 4 1/2 with high angle frog."the less moving parts there are, the less chance of something going wrong-unless of course you wobble something important at the back"
