Thread: The little guys have been introduced to a big guy

I went to buy a couple clamps (you can never have enough clamps, and he was pretty much giving them away) at a guys house today and did what we all do. Asked the question: what else ya got, you want to part with... So he brings out the HNT Smoother plane and two water stones he's wanting to clear out. I don't know the exact price they sell for but I know they're more than I am willing to pay by a long shot. He says the plane sells for well over $400 brand new... Then goes on to say he wants $200 for the plane and stones. I actually bocked at it, as I'm trying to cull my herd myself... But as we talked I was mulling it in the head and thinking about how my shoulders were destroyed by planing 330 shutter blades some years back and playing competitive futsal, and switching to Asian style planes would be a good move to take the strain off the shoulders. So it ended up coming home with me. The stones, well I don't need them but I guess I can on sell them...
