I sure do love this saw I haven't experienced anything like it before. I'm actually going to be selling my newest GDL12 Bosch sliding drop saw, I'm churning over to hand tools only, I'm tired of the lack of space and I prefer hand tools over machinery anyway. It was an expensive realisation one I just had to try out.

Really nice saws I've saved the site in my favourites to go over it properly but they look almost identical to LN, when Veritas brought out the edge plane LN took them to court as it was very similar to their 95 Bronze edge plane. LN lost the case as the judge pointed out that they are copying the old stanley planes so why shouldn't Veritas as well butI wonder if something may eventuate from these saws, I doubt it cause they lost but one never knows.
I'm currently hunting and old Disston rip and crosscut the next one I'm buying from LN is the 16" tenon rip cut I may include a dovetail saw no actually I will because the japanese dovetail one I have suits the thinner stock better as it doesn't have that much weight to power through a thicker stock.
Thanks for that link.

Backsaw.net is a good place to check out some saws and saw makers. It also has some good info on keeping you saws sharp as well as how to make your own. :P

Another good site looks historical definitely worth reading though, I heard about these kits before aparantly you can make some very nice high quality saws with them. I heard about them on this site if you want to learn hand tool work this is a good site and the best part is it's free.
