Here are a couple of pictures of my latest acquisition, a Stanley #10 1/2. As you can see, aside from the little pitting (which should be able to be removed with concerted lapping), it is in pretty good condition - there are no signs of any repairs near the mouth.
The iron is also in good order, although it might not be too long before I have two order a replacement as there is not a huge amount left.
I suppose this is a bit of a gloat...
I will let you know how it goes...
